Beulah Buchanan Hoilman

Beulah Buchanan Hoilman, age 92, of Plumtree, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at her residence.

Born on May 8, 1932 in Avery County, she was the daughter of the late Earsel and Ora Buchanan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Hoilman who passed away in 1995. Also preceding her in death was her daughter, Brenda Wilson, one sister and three brothers.

Beulah enjoyed working outside, gardening, her flowers and canning. She loved working jigsaw puzzles, admiring her hummingbirds, and watching Game Show Network. She also loved her coffee and going to the beach; but, most of all she loved her family. She relished every moment she spent with them and had helped raise nearly all of her grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Wayne Hoilman and wife, Rachel; her daughters, Sandra Pitman and husband, Alan, and Kim Hicks and husband, Larry; and her son-in-law, Terry Wilson; grandchildren, Neil Wilson and wife, Lindsay; Greg Hoilman and wife, Meredith; Corey Hoilman and wife Kathryn; Amanda Buchanan and husband, Michael; Lucas Pitman and wife, Molly; Kimberly Reid and husband, Mike; Haley Manus and husband, Brandon; Trey Hicks and wife, Megan; great-grandchildren Quinn, Caroline, Troy, Emree, J’Leyn, Avery, Ben, Robin, AJ, Logan, Kynlee, Tripp, Pailyn, and Deacon.

A time to share memories, support the family and receive friends will be on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at Western Carolina Church. The service honoring the life of Beulah Hoilman will be on Saturday, March 8, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Western Carolina Church with the Rev. Michael Webb and the Rev. Andy Willis officiating. Interment will be in the Ed W. Buchanan Cemetery.
