Gene Hoilman age 66 of Hazel Avenue in Spruce Pine passed away Tuesday February 25, 2025, at his residence.
Born in McDowell County he was a son of the late Donald and Jackie Gouge Hoilman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepdaughter Lisa Ingram.
Gene retired from Blue Ridge Regional Hospital, he loved being outdoors and doing yard work and was always willing to help others.
Left to cherish his memories is his wife Diane Wheeler Hoilman, stepsons, Chris McKinney of Old Fort and Kevin McKinney of Rogersville, TN, stepdaughter, Crystal Mahaffey of Greenville, SC, brother, Bobby Hoilman of Bakersville, uncle, Melvin Gouge and wife Linda of Bakersville and seven step-grandchildren.
A service to celebrate Gene’s life will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 3:00 pm at his residence.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Blue Ridge 236 Hospital Drive Spruce Pine, NC 28777.
