U.S. Senator Ted Budd spent the afternoon in Yancey County, checking on the recovery efforts and hearing the community’s needs. During his visit, he met with Sheriff Shane Hilliard, Operation Helo, West Yancey Fire Department, and community members to discuss ongoing challenges.
Sheriff Shane Hilliard expressed his appreciation for the Senator’s visit, stating, “Having Senator Budd here to see firsthand what our first responders and community have faced is invaluable. His support and understanding of our needs will go a long way in helping us rebuild our county.”
