Barbara Stamey Duncan, age 90, of Feldspar Street in Spruce Pine, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine.
Born on November 12, 1934 in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Pearl Buchanan Duncan. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Gray Duncan who passed away in 2013 and her son, Mike Duncan.
Barbara was a member of Berry Chapel Baptist Church. She was retired from Henredon Furniture Company of Spruce Pine. She enjoyed decorating and working in her home. She also enjoyed working in her flowers. She loved taking trips to Dollywood and going to Lake James and fishing.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter-in-law; Donna Duncan of Spruce Pine, her grandsons; Matthew Travis Duncan and wife, Jessica of Spruce Pine and Shane Duncan of Marion, her grandchildren; Austin Duncan, Emily Duncan and Aaliyah Duncan, and her sisters; Patsy Jarrett of Bakersville and Marie Stamey of Forrest City.
Graveside services and entombment will be Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 12:00 noon at the Mausoleum at Bear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Williams officiating.
