Teresa Ruth Queen

Teresa Ruth Queen, age 67, of Spruce Pine, went home to be with the Lord on Monday morning, March 24, 2025, at her home in the Altapass community.

A native of North Cove, Ruth had been a beloved resident of Spruce Pine for many years. She was the daughter of the late Dover and Evelyn Andrews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Mike Queen.

Ruth and Mike dedicated much of their lives to serving their community, through both their business and active participation in local churches. Ruth’s heart was always focused on her family, and she gave her life selflessly to care for and nurture her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Lacey Queen and Bethany Glenn (and her husband, Blake Glenn), along with her five beloved grandchildren: Dahlia Queen, Asher, Lola, Uriah, and Zeb Glenn.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Hospice of the Blue Ridge for their care, as well as to the outpouring of love and support from the community, Mount Calvary and Mitchell Baptist Church, and the many wonderful friends who have walked alongside them during this difficult time.

Ruth’s life was a testament to faith, love, and devotion, and she will be deeply missed.

The family will receive friends Friday March 28, 2025, from 6:00 until 7:00 pm at Webb Funeral Home.

Graveside service and inurnment will be at 11:00 am Saturday March 29, 2025, in the Collis Cemetery with the Rev. Blake Glenn and the Rev. Jim Shoupe officiating.
