Monday March 31, Kelly Duncan, an ultrasound technologist and instructor, who specializes in high-risk obstetrics, spoke with Mrs. Katy Grindstaff’s health science courses at Mitchell High School about the expanding opportunities in sonography. Students were able to learn about job duties, career outlook, workplace environments, educational pathways, specializations, pay and benefit ranges, and opportunities for further expenditure of education and skills. This presentation both heightened the interest of students already planning to pursue a career in sonography, and sparked the interest of others who now feel like this is the perfect career match for them.
