N.C. Commerce Secretary Lee Lilley has announced the Hurricane Helene Business Edge Fund, offering $500,000 in grants to local workforce boards to help businesses impacted by Hurricane Helene. This fund aims to minimize layoffs and support long-term economic recovery.
The Grant Amount are Up to $10,000 per eligible business. The Eligible Counties: Ashe, Avery, Burke, Buncombe, Caldwell, Haywood, Henderson, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Transylvania, Watauga, and Yancey.
Businesses must have been in operation for at least two years, be current on UI taxes, and be in good standing with the IRS.
