A location for private citizens to haul tree limbs and other plant debris for disposal has been announced by Mitchell County. It is at the Wade Tipton Field near Gouge Elementary School, 646 Cane Creek Road in Bakersville. There are some stipulations:
- Vegetative Debris Only
No household garbage or construction debris will be accepted. - Prove Mitchell County Residency
Show ID with proof of residency or property ownership in Mitchell County. - No Assistance with Unloading
You can dump items at the site or unload by hand. There is no mechanical unloading or assistance available. - No Contractor or Commercial Use
This is for private citizens only.
