If you received a camper from Operation Helo following Hurricane Helene, it’s time to make your ownership official. Operation Helo will host a title distribution event on Friday, May 9, from 1 to 7 p.m. at the West Yancey Volunteer Fire Department.
To claim your title, simply bring your driver’s license and a photo of your camper’s VIN number. Most titles will be ready for immediate pickup.
This marks a major milestone for many hurricane survivors—turning emergency shelter into lasting security. Organizers say the event represents more than just paperwork; it’s a powerful step from disaster to dignity.
