Congratulations to the sourteen students enrolled in Mitchell High School’s Career and Technical Education Health Science Classes who recently earned their OSHA Healthcare certification. After learning the curriculum pertaining to healthcare safety and infection control procedures students completed an online OSHA safety course. The course provides training for entry-level workers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces, as well as information regarding workers’ rights and employer responsibilities. Through this training, OSHA helps to ensure that workers have the knowledge they need to stay safe on the job. Students who successfully complete the CareerSafe OSHA 10-Hour General Industry (Healthcare) course receive a US Department of Labor OSHA 10-Hour General Industry card—a credential that holds value for a lifetime.
