Dennis “Shaggy” Edwards, age 60 of Burnsville, NC, went Home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at his home.
Born on July 25, 1964, he was the son of the late Clay and Catherine Wilson Edwards.
Dennis enjoyed nothing more than to be outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, and he loved to hunt.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Katie Edwards of Erwin, TN; sisters: Denise (Greg) Edwards Teague of the South Toe Community in Burnsville, NC, and Norma Jean (Paul) Biggs of the Pensacola Community in Burnsville, NC; two grandsons; a special cousin and best friend, Danny Thomas of the South Toe Community in Burnsville, NC; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 9th at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home.
The family would like to say special thanks to Compassionate Care Hospice for their kindness and loving care of Dennis in his last days.
