The Spruce Pine Town Council has voted to move forward with a two-library system that will be named the Toe River Valley Library System. Currently, the AMY Regional Library System includes Avery, Mitchell, and Yancey counties. However, Yancey County has decided to withdraw from the regional system and establish its own independent, single-county library system.
