Wilma Parker

Wilma Parker, age 85, of the Pensacola Community went Home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 9, 2025 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Oscar and Violet Styles. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Styles and a sister-in-law; JoAnn Styles.

Wilma retired from Micro Switch and in her retirement years she enjoyed spending time in her garden and working on her sewing projects. She served as the Chaplain for the Yancey chapter of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. Her love for her family was shown through spending time cooking and caring for each of them. She was a devout member of Concord Baptist Church and loved the Lord with all her heart.

Surviving is her loving husband of 58 years: Joseph Parker; two daughters: Sherry Peek (Brian) of Weaverville, NC, Kathy Mackey (Dewain) of Unicoi, TN; a son: Joseph Parker (Stephanie) of Mars Hill, NC; grandchildren: Christopher Mackey, Bethany Daigle (Jordan), Zachary Peek (Megan), Burgin Mackey, Keeley Peek and Christian Parker; great-grandchildren: Lorrie Daigle, Anse Daigle and Elena Peek.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 17 at 2 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church with Rev. Bradley Boone and Rev. Billy Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the Penland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Jeff Hatcher, Tim Hatcher, David Hatcher, Travis Hatcher, Scott Styles, Trey Boone and Gabe Boone. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
