Mountain Heritage High School is proud to announce that senior Lawson Higgins has received the Western Highlands Conference Male Athlete of the Year Award for 2024-2025. Lawson has played varsity football and basketball throughout his high school career at Mountain Heritage. During his senior year he earned the All-Conference Award in both sports, while also being named to the All-Tournament team and tournament MVP in basketball. He was chosen to play in the East-West All-Star football game and the Western North Carolina All-Star team in basketball. Lawson was selected from nominations from all high schools in the Western Highlands Conference.
