Ashby Miller, beekeeper from the Piedmont/Triad North Carolina area will our May speaker. Ashby and his wife Cori own and operate Ashby Farms in Burlington, NC, managing approximately 500 colonies across 16 apiariesp. Their work focuses on propagating Varroa mite-resistant VSH stock through rigorous selection criteria. In addition to producing Queens and Nucs, Ashby Farms is NCDA-certified for Sourwood Honey production and offers pollination services.
He will be discussing how you can expand your apiary through raising your own queens and the design and use of queen castles.
