On Tuesday June 10 the Mountain Piecemakers Quilt Guild will meet at the Burnsville Town Center at 6:00 for social time with program at 6:30 followed by business meeting. The program will be a Zoom Presentation “Five Inch is a Cinch” with Pat Speth, Author of Nickel Quilts, Amazing Nickel Quilts, and Nickel Quilts and Borders.
Her program will show how Nickel Quilts Are created. This trunk show is sure to get quilters fired up about using 5″ squares of fabric and many of the ideas can also be adapted for using other precuts; such as 2 1/2″ strips and layer cakes. Pat will show an assortment of quilts from her collection and will focus on the blocks in the quilts and the simple components they are made from.
Visitors are welcome. Anyone interested in learning more about quilting is urged to join us for this presentation. MPQG serves members from Madison, Mitchell and Yancey counties.
