Dig In! Yancey Community Garden is hosting a by-donation workshop about garden pest management on Saturday, June 14 from 9am-12pm. The instructor Patryk Battle, the farm manager at Living Web Farm, is very experienced in “farmscaping,” the art of integrating native plants into the garden to attract beneficial insects and keep the garden’s ecosystem in balance. We’ll start the morning by observing and identifying bugs in the cooler temperatures, then discuss common beneficial insects and pests. Come with your garden’s problems, leave with solutions and new ideas!
The Dig In! Community Garden is located at 744 Blankenship Creek Rd, 15 minutes from downtown Burnsville.
