Wander into a world of Pure Imagination this Saturday with the Blue Ridge Partnership for Children during the Sizzlin’ Summer Series. From 10am to noon, the Burnsville Town Square will transform into a Willy Wonka-themed wonderland full of fun and delightful surprises.
Bring your imagination to life by creating a robot or fort. Use blocks of every shape and size to build anything you could possibly dream up. Enjoy the spectacle as a talented Aerialist and stilt walker perform fantastic feats at amazing heights! Explore the gear station for something special. And bask in bubbles alongside a bubble artist who will amaze you with giant bubbles!
Remember to pick up your free bookbag and cool off with a free snow cone, check out what other goodies the Blue Ridge Partnership for Children’s partnering agencies have for you, too! One golden ticket will be mailed in someone’s Imagination Library book this June. Will you be the lucky 300,000 book winner?
Plus, stop by Plott Hound Books on Main Street this week to find a hidden “Wonka Waddler.” If you find one of the special rubber ducks hidden throughout the kids’ section, you’ll earn a backpack of goodies on June 14th, during the magical Pure Imagination event!
A program of Partners Aligned Toward Health, Healthy Yancey is a partnership of concerned citizens working together to improve the quality of health for all people in Yancey County.
