Clyde N. Blalock, age 93, of Burnsville, went Home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. He was the youngest son of the late Sam and Grace Blalock. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Ella Honeycutt Blalock; his second wife, Kate Presnell Blalock; and a son, Larry Blalock.
Clyde served in the United States Navy for 26 years, traveling around the world and loved telling everyone he met about his time in the military.
Left to cherish his memory is a son, Greg Blalock; stepson, James Robinson; his special granddaughters: Sarah, Sonya, Shannon, Isabella, Rebekah, Adrienne and Makenzie Blalock, Michelle Ortolani, Melissa Tarantino and Olivia Robinson; fourteen great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Dianne; niece: Anita; caretaker, Barbara. Clyde was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 14th in the chapel of Yancey Funeral Service. Pastor Duane Cassida will officiate. Burial will follow in the Youngs Chapel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 until 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
