Join us at Dig In! Community Garden on Saturday, June 28, to harvest our garlic crop and celebrate summer. We will harvest garlic, clean it up a bit, hang it in the barn to dry, and then have a potluck lunch. Come to help or just visit!
We’ll gather from 9:30-12 at our garden at 774 Blankenship Creek Rd, 15 minutes from downtown Burnsville. Please bring water, sun protection, and a potluck dish to share if you are able. All ages and abilities are welcome.
Since 2010, Dig In has been dedicated to growing and sharing fresh, local food free of charge in Yancey County. For 15 years, the gardens have been a place where many different people come together to learn, share, build relationships, and contribute to a stronger, more resilient community. Volunteer work together days are Friday mornings, 9:30 am to noon.
