Get ready to climb, slide, and race your friends and family this Saturday from 10am-noon during the Sizzlin’ Summer Series. Mountain Community Healthy Partnership will host a Fit Family Obstacle Course with fun inflatables and plenty of activities on the Burnsville Town Square.
The Fit Family Obstacle Course promises to be a fun-filled event for all ages! Test your speed and skills on an inflatable obstacle course. Or enjoy an active afternoon of fun activities like hula hooping, dizzy bat, and water balloon target throwing!
Whatever you choose to do, the Fit Families event is a great opportunity for families to bond and make memories together while promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. Plus, cool off with a free snow cone from the Kona Ice truck before you head home!
A program of Partners Aligned Toward Health, Healthy Yancey is a partnership of concerned citizens working together to improve the quality of health for all people in Yancey County. Healthy Yancey developed the Sizzlin’ Summer Series to promote connections between neighbors and people, increase physical activity, and create fun ways to play and be active in our community. Sizzlin’ Summer Series activities are appropriate for ALL ages and abilities and are completely FREE!
Thank you to Mountain Community Health Partnership for making this week’s event possible. We also appreciate the title sponsor AdventHealth, as well as the Town of Burnsville and Yancey County Government for their support and sponsorship which make the 2025 Sizzlin’ Summer Series possible.
This summer, you can also enjoy free pool days at the Burnsville Pool on July 10th and August 8th, courtesy of Healthy Yancey and Yancey County Government.
