My beloved husband, Alden “Butch” Davis III, went Home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Mission Hospital. Butch was the son of the late Alden and Cyrene Andrews Davis.
Butch was a wonderful provider for his family. He was a hard worker who oftentimes had two jobs. Butch was a great chef who attended culinary school and graduated after two years. He loved to fish and get together with all of his family while they grilled and cooked out. Butch will be missed by all who knew him.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 17 years, Kathy Davis; step-son, Jason “Slick” Fore (Payton); step-daughter, Kristina Smith (Redell); grandchildren: June Bug and Daniel; sisters: Karen Fogg (Butch) and Donna Thibault; special friend, Jane Bennett.
A time for friends to visit with the family will be on Tuesday, July 1st from 2 until 3 p.m. at Yancey Funeral Service. Immediately following the visitation will be a graveside service held in the Strawbridge Young cemetery in Newdale.
