Mountain Piecemakers Quilt Guild will meet on Tuesday July 8 at 6:00 pm in the Burnsville Town Center.We will begin with refreshments at 6:00, with business meeting at 6:30 followed by our speaker on Wool Applique, Lynn Christiansen of Emerald Falls Quilts.
Lynn is a passionate quilt pattern designer whose creativity is fueled by the rich tapestry of her travels. She translates her global adventures into unique patterns that capture the essence of diverse landscapes and traditions. Each of her quilts is a testament to the rich tapestry of the world.
Lynn will be leading a workshop on wool applique on Wednesday July 9 from 9am – noon. Non-members are invited to join the workshop for $45 which includes the kit. Students will learn the basics of working with wool, best practices when using fusible, and basic embroidery stitches.
Tickets for the 2025 Opportunity Quilt are available from our members as well as at local festivals. Tickets are 3 for $5 and are used to support our Hero Quilts for Veterans and Project Linus for children in need.
