Mitchell County has announced that the License Plate Agency Office in Spruce Pine is opening in a new location on Monday, July 21. The Office will still be located in the Spruce Pine Shopping Center, but is moving to 11949 Highway 226 South, which is in the old Sears location next to the Mitchell County Safe Place Thrift Store. In addition to a new location comes new office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the License Plate Agency. The phone number for the Office will remain 828-520-1134. As part of the move to the new location, the LPA Office will be closed Thursday, July 17 and Friday, July 18.
