Charlie Molt Shepherd

Charlie Molt Shepherd, age 46 of Burnsville, NC, went Home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. Born on October 7, 1978, he was the son of Roger and Julia Banks Shepherd. He is preceded in death by many aunts and uncles that he loved very much.

Charlie could always be seen with a smile on his face. He was always making jokes, telling funny stories, and making people laugh. He loved to spend his days hunting, fishing, being outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends. If you knew Charlie well, you know that he didn’t have a greedy bone in his body. If you needed a helping hand, Charlie would do anything for you. He’d even give you the shirt off his back. Although his passing was sudden, Charlie’s loved ones find comfort in knowing that he had accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior and had been born again in the eyes of the Lord. He met his Savior at Heaven’s Gates, and in the blink of an eye, Charlie was no longer in any pain. We thank the Lord for the wonderful memories we have of Charlie while he was here on this earth. He was a kind and loving family man, and his bright light will truly be missed.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving parents; sisters: Ola Mae Shepherd, and Mary Shepherd; daughter, Kyra Honeycutt; fiancé, Mickey Jarrett and her father, Michael Jarrett; nephews: Levi Truett, Isaac (Vignette) Truett, Gregory Shepherd Buchanan, Trevor Austin (Jessica) Rowlands IIII and their children, Trevor Austin and Emmy Ruth, Caleb (Avie) Buchanan and their son, Mikey; an aunt, Brenda Banks of Kentucky; uncles: Logan Collins of Kentucky,  Randy (Ann) Banks of Brevard, and Vernon (Della) Shepherd of Ohio; cousins: Kim (John) Chandler and their daughter, Brenna, Gina Wesley and her son, Benjamin, and Treva (Bobby) Mathis; as well as many more nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones spread across the states of Tennessee, Ohio, Oregon, and Arizona. We love and appreciate you all.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends and loved ones from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. for visitation, with the service following. Rev. Jimbo Seaton and Rev. Jerry Shelton will be officiating.
