Rickie Shawn Brady, age 64, of Bakersville, went Home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 15th, 2025, at his residence. He was a son of the late George Brady and his mother Mary Revis Brady Pearson. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his siblings; Mike Brady and Barbara Pearson.
Rickie worked in construction as a heavy machine operator. In his spare time, he worked on cars, which he took great pride in doing. He was a dedicated member of Vians Valley Presbyterian Church. Rickie was a family man; he loved spending time with his family, especially his five grandchildren.
In addition to his mother, left to cherish Rickie’s memory is his loving wife of 22 years, Sue Brady; daughter, Megan Greene (Hank); son, Cody Byrd (Elizabeth); Grandchildren: Jeremiah Greene, Keeli Byrd, Jacob Greene, Collin Byrd and Lily Benfield; brother; Ronnie Pearson; special great nieces and nephews: Journee Deyton, LeeAnna and Ibby Autrey and Ezra Peterson.
A private family service will be held per Rickie’s wishes.
