Mitchell County leaders invite community members to a Town Hall meeting
on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM at Bowman Middle School, 410 S
Mitchell Ave, Bakersville, NC.
The meeting will address several important topics impacting our community, including:
● Private Property Debris Removal
● The New Mitchell Ready App
● Fire Prevention and Safety
● Emergency Management Preparedness
● Long-Term Recovery Planning
Residents will have the opportunity to submit questions in person during the event. For those
unable to attend, questions can be submitted in advance by August 11, 2025, via email to
mitchell.heleneresource@gmail.com.
The Town Hall will be recorded, and a playback will be made available the following day to
ensure all community members can access the information discussed.
“This Town Hall is an opportunity for our community to come together, ask questions, and
receive clear updates about our recovery and preparedness efforts,” said County Manager Allen Cook.
