At the Yancey County Commissioners meeting on Monday, August 11th, officials reported that property tax bills are running late this year because of a software and printer issue. The Tax Office expects to mail them by week’s end. A 2% discount is still available for payments made by Aug. 31, 2025, and state law does not allow an extension despite the delay.
