Yancey County Cooperative Extension will be holding a Chainsaw Operation, Safety and Maintenance class on September 18, 2025 at the Extension office in Burnsville from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. This class will be excellent for people new to operating and maintaining chainsaws and a good refresher for the more experienced operator. We will cover types of chainsaws and their uses, recommended protective gear, chainsaw operation, safety and maintenance. The class will be limited to 20 so sign up early.
