Mitchell High School CTE students in Early Childhood Education courses were certified in infant/toddler/adult CPR/First aid/Choking so that they can begin internship placements at Montessori school and our NC pre-k sites. Mr. Jimmy English, in partnership with Mayland Community College, worked with students in Mrs. Boone’s classroom to complete their certifications. Throughout the semester these students will spend half of their time at internship sites and the other half of their time working with Mrs. Boone learning the curriculum, creating their own lessons and completing a performance based portfolio.
