Sandra Fry Rairden, age 85, of Cane Creek Road in Bakersville, passed away Monday, September 1, 2025 at The Green’s of Spruce Pine.
Born on January 6, 1940 in Princeville, IL, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Viola Corney Fry. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters; Donna Komp and Betty Mear and her brother; Jack Fry.
Sandra was retired from Bank of American where she served as an Assistant Branch Manager. She was a member of the Greater Remnant Church in Bakersville. She was a former member of the Moose Lodge in Ft. Myers, FL. She was known as a kind natured and sweet person. At the same time, she was known for her toughness as she was a cancer survivor. She enjoyed taking care of her tropical plants and she made delicious homemade dinner rolls for family holiday get togethers. She loved her cats; Millie and Maggie.
Left to cherish her memories are her sons; Pat Rairden of Bakersville and Mike Rairden of Babcock Ranch, FL, and her grandchildren; Robert Rairden and Kelsey Rairden.
