Join High Peaks for a hike on the Overmountain Victory Trail on Friday, September 12.
This 3.5- to 4-mile hike is an out-and-back on fairly flat terrain through a beautiful stretch of woods. Mushrooms usually abound and there are lots of huge rock formations.
We will meet at 9:00 am at the Mineral Museum in Spruce Pine, at the junction of Hwy 226 and the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Dogs on leash are welcome and don’t forget water and bug spray. The outing will be limited to 12 hikers.
