On Saturday, September 27 at noon, our community will pause for a Memorial Minute on WTOE and WKYK. This sixty-second observance is an invitation to remember Hurricane Helene and the way it reshaped our lives. For one minute, take time to stop, look around, and reflect. Over the past year, we have faced loss—of friends, family members, homes and businesses. We have struggled together, mourned together, and rebuilt together. During this moment, if you are able, step outside and see your neighbors. Take someone’s hand. You might offer a prayer, take a deep breath, sing, or simply be still and listen. However you choose to mark the moment, know you are not alone. The water rose high. We will rise higher. Together.
On Monday at 1pm on each of the radio stations there will be a special program remembering Helene and its aftermath. Tune in at 940 am and 104.7 fm for WKYK. For WTOE 1470 am. , 101.1 fm or either station can be found by clicking on their logos at the top of this website.
