The Mitchell County Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, October 3, 2025, to celebrate the grand opening of Spruce Pint, the newest addition to downtown Spruce Pine’s business community.

Friends, community members, and Chamber representatives gathered to officially welcome Spruce Pint, a locally owned establishment that brings a fresh and exciting experience to downtown. The event marked not only the opening of a new business but also another milestone in the continued revitalization and growth of Spruce Pine.

“We are happy to welcome Damien and Amanda Hollifed, owners of Spruce Pint to downtown,” said Bill Slagle, Executive Director of the Mitchell County Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Commission. “Each new business that opens in our community represents fresh opportunities, energy, and confidence in Mitchell County’s future. We know Spruce Pint will quickly become a favorite gathering spot for both locals and visitors.”

Guests enjoyed tours of the new space, networking, and a first look at the unique offerings that Spruce Pint brings to the downtown district. The opening of the business underscores the resilience and determination of Mitchell County entrepreneurs, particularly as the community continues to rebuild and grow stronger following the challenges of Hurricane Helene.

The Mitchell County Chamber invites the community to stop by Spruce Pint and show support for this exciting new venture.
