4-H Kids Vote: Inspiring Tomorrow’s Leaders Today

kids-vote

Calling all future voters! 4-H and Yancey County Board of Elections is excited to present Kids Vote, an interactive and educational class designed to introduce young members to the foundations of voting and civic engagement.

In this fun, hands-on program, participants will explore how elections work, why voting matters, and the many ways young people can shape their communities—even before they’re old enough to cast a ballot.

As part of the experience, youth will also create civic-themed posters that express what voting means to them. These posters will be entered into a friendly competition, giving participants the chance to showcase their creativity and win fun prizes!

Through engaging activities, discussions, and the poster contest, 4-H Kids Vote helps young people understand that active citizenship starts now. Whether it’s learning how local government works or discovering how to make their voices heard, this class empowers the next generation of leaders.

Don’t miss this opportunity to help your child build lifelong civic skills and have a great time doing it.
