The public right-of-way debris cleanup program will conclude in Mitchell County on Friday, October 31. This has been underway for several months and is picking up debris along public roads in the county.
This is not the Private Property Debris Removal (PPDR) program that the State of North Carolina is conducting at this time. It is continuing to operate. Call 828-319-2880 for help with PPDR.
The public vegetative debris disposal site at the Wade Tipton Field near Gouge School in Bakersville will conclude operations on Friday, October 31. Residents are urged to complete hauling any vegetation for disposal there in the next 2 weeks.
