Mars Hill University Theatre Arts Presents: Ghost: The Musical

Mars Hill University’s theatre arts department opens its fall production this weekend. “Ghost: The Musical” will be performed on stage in historic Owen Theatre on the university campus.

Performances are:

  • Saturday, October 25, at 7:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, October 26, at 2:30 p.m.
  • Friday, October 31, at 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, November 1, at 7:30 p.m.

Based on the 1990 hit film, Ghost tells the story of Sam and Molly, a couple whose lives are forever changed after a tragic attack leaves Sam trapped between the living world and the afterlife. Unable to leave Molly—who is still in danger—Sam seeks the help of a reluctant medium, Oda Mae Brown, to protect her from harm. The musical features music and lyrics by Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard, and book and lyrics by Bruce Joel Rubin.

The MHU production is directed by Chelsey Gaddy with music direction by Kenneth Eggert. Choreography is by Niki Vastis, Miranda Sowers, and Fernanda Guerrero; costume design by Anne Knight, and stage management by Catie Mirro.

The cast features Nathaniel Ogden, Emma Hall, Fernanda Guerrero, and Seabron Echols, with Jordan Speece, Tatum Griffin, Krimson Powell, Niki Vastis, and more.

Please note that this production is recommended for ages 13 and up due to some adult content.
