
Students in Ms. Peterson’s Foods and Nutrition 1 class participated in a Chopped Challenge in the lab today (10/24). Students were given a tray with various pizza ingredients and toppings. Each of the 4 groups had different ingredients on their trays. Students had to use every item on their tray in some way and also had access to the pantry. Once finished, judges were brought into the lab to taste test and determine the winner. Winning group members(pictured below, left to right) were Katie Stowe, Kyleigh Garland, Taylor Smith, Hannah Johnson, and Kellen Glenn.
Students said that this has been their favorite lab yet, because they got to be creative and solve problems in a way that using a recipe normally doesn’t allow.
