As part of Career Development Month, on Tuesday November 18th Christina Jenkins (CEO), Jennifer Miller (COO), and Brittany Hughes (HR) of Hospice & Palliative Care of the Blue Ridge came to speak to Mrs. Katy Grindstaff’s Health Science students regarding employment and volunteer opportunities for students and post graduates.
They provided information on traditional and non-traditional positions as well as job shadow and internship opportunities. They were able to clear up common misconceptions about hospice, palliative, and cap care. They offered several routes of volunteer opportunities, which sparked several students’ interest in wanting to give back to the community. Thank you Hospice and Palliative Care of the Blue Ridge for taking time to provide our students with local opportunities.
