Wilma Mae Sparks

Wilma Mae Sparks, of Crabtree Woods Road in Spruce Pine passed away Friday, November 28, 2025 at The Green’s of Spruce Pine.

Born on October 17, 1953 in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Josephine Sparks. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sisters; Betty Henson, Doris Sparks and Barbara Laws and her brothers; Junior Ray Sparks and John Sparks.

Mae was a member of the Berry Chapel Baptist Church. She loved her church and attending church services and she loved her church family. She was known for being kind and courteous to others and visiting the sick and needy. She was also known as a great cook.

Left to cherish Mae’s memories are her son; Tim Loven and wife, Theresa of Bakersville, her grandsons; Timmy Shawn Loven and Jonathan Davis, her great grandchildren; Elijah Davis and Alice Davis, her brother; Jerry Sparks and wife, Manuela, several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Mae Sparks will be on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Berry Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Williams officiating.
