Tickets are on sale now for The Worst Christmas Pageant Ever, showing December 15-16, 2025. In this show, when a group of local school students, led by Grace and Bob, decide to put on the best Christmas pageant that the town has ever seen, they inadvertently enlist a rag-tag band of mischievous adult siblings, The Hermans, to help pull it off. After gathering at the old folks’ home where they will be performing that night, the kids quickly realize that the gifts for the toy drive have all gone missing! One child, being the only one with an airtight alibi, decides to take the lead and solve the crime (with a little help from the audience, that is)!

This event will take place at The NuWray Hotel, located at 102 Town Square, Burnsville, NC on December 15th and 16th at 5pm and 7:30pm both nights. Along with the show, tickets will include full dinner service from the incredible team at The NuWray Hotel in between scenes and a non-alcoholic beverage. Tickets are $65, first-come, first-served and can be purchased online at www.parkwayplayhouse.com/tickets or by calling 828-682-4285.

With nearly 200 years of history behind it, the Grande Dame of Burnsville has undergone a full-scale restoration under new ownership, giving it the chance at another century of service. The hotel restoration is complete, including all-new plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, with a sensitivity to historical and existing materials. The hotel features twenty-six rooms with en-suite bathrooms, and a full-service restaurant giving a healthy nod to the NuWray’s culinary history and regional traditions.
