Eunice Hughes, age 83, of Mollies Branch Rd (Roaring Creek community) passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. She was born in Avery County on April 29, 1942 to the late Arnie and Ethel Clark Webb.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by ten siblings and two daughters, Lisa Harrison and Gwen Gardner.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Denise Webb Baker (JB); grandsons, Benji, Brandon, Charlie, and Monuel; granddaughters, Crystal and Angie; sixteen great grandchildren; numerous great, great grandchildren; brother Orville Webb, and sister Vonda Buchanan.
Eunice was a homemaker all her life and was known as a very kind and loving person who loved her family very much.
Funeral services for Eunice will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 20, 2025 in the chapel of Webb Funeral Home, Spruce Pine, NC, with the Reverends Chris Nance and Daniel Nance officiating.
The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 pm until the service hour.
