Frankie Wilson Wyatt

Frankie Wilson Wyatt, age 90, of the Double Island Community, went Home to join her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 20th, 2025, at Smoky Ridge Health and Rehabilitation.  Born in McDowell County, she was a daughter of the late Richmond and Bessie Murphy Wilson.  She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Junior Wyatt; two brothers:  Clifton Wilson and Otis Wilson; sister, Zedd Morrow; and son-in-law, Larry Hoyle.

Frankie was known as a devout Christian and member of Crabtree Baptist Church which she loved attending, being with her church family, and singing in the choir.  At home, she enjoyed tending to her beautiful flowers, doing cross stitch, and was an avid watcher of the Hallmark Channel.  When you walked into her home, you were always greeted with a smile and a hug, and you always felt welcome.  Along with her love for the Lord, the most important thing in life to her was the time she spent with her daughters and grandchildren.  She cherished those moments and all the little things she got to do with them over the years.  She will forever be remembered as the beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and perfect homemaker to all her family.

Family was everything to her, and she leaves behind her four cherished daughters:  Debra Hoyle of Spruce Pine, Anita McKinney (Johnny) of Newdale, Sheila Briggs (David) of Newdale, and Lynn Hensley (Bryan) of Bald Creek; seven grandchildren:  Chris Hoyle of Spruce Pine, Candace Sparks (Daryl) of South Toe, Brandon McKinney (Megan) of Burnsville, Casey Boone (Ryan) of Bakersville, Hannah Hensley of Burnsville, Jordan Briggs (Brienna) of Newdale, and Meagan Hensley of Burnsville; and five great-grandchildren: Raven Hoyle, Addison McKinney, Mason Sparks, Avery Sparks and Liam Boone.

Private family graveside services will be held at Crabtree Baptist Church Cemetery.
