Vanessa Dawn Eggers, age 49, of Burnsville, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026, in Burnsville.
Born on November 25, 1976, in Watauga County, North Carolina, Vanessa was the daughter of the late George Eggers and Nyoka Gray. She was also preceded in death by her beloved son, George Kaylin Eggers.
Vanessa had a big heart and loved her family deeply. She especially cherished her grandchildren and found joy in spending time with them. She enjoyed shopping, planting flowers, cooking, and caring for her dogs. Her warmth, laughter, and loving spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Lorissa (Dylan) McCrary and Aleesha Degroot; her brother, John (Sarah) Gray; her sisters, Carmella (Mark) Hedrick and Millie (Bo) Travis; her grandchildren, Ansley and Kaylyn; as well as several nieces, nephews, and many friends who will miss her dearly.
No services will be held at this time.
