Mitchell Pharmacy Students in NC CPR World Record Training Event

On Wednesday February 25th, students from Mrs. Katy Grindstaff’s Pharmacy Tech course joined the North Carolina CPR World Record Training Event led by RACE-CARS Trial out of Duke University, to teach hands-only CPR to 307 students and faculty at Mitchell High School.  After instruction and demonstration, participants were guided through 100 practice compressions.  To beat the record, North Carolina will have to train 30,000 people in this life-saving measure within a 24 hour period.  MCS CTE would like to thank Jimmy English for leading this initiative in our county and encouraging the leadership opportunity for our future healthcare professionals.
