
The North Carolina Community Foundation announced this week that nearly 110 organizations have received grants from the NCCF Disaster Relief Fund to support long-term recovery from Hurricane Helene.
- $1 million was awarded to ArtsAVL to launch a grants program to support the long-term recovery and stabilization of nonprofit arts and cultural organizations in 16 western North Carolina counties.
- $9 million in grants were provided to 108 charitable organizations supporting key recovery needs, including housing repair and reconstruction, rental assistance, and hunger and mental health needs of survivors. Find the grants made in your community.
The NCCF Disaster Relief Fund is supporting long-term recovery from Hurricane Helene in western North Carolina and building community preparedness for future disasters.
Nearly $22 million has now been awarded to support recovery. Grantmaking from the fund will continue in the months and years ahead and will include a focus on preparedness.
