The Yancey County Cooperative Extension will be hosting an Apple Grafting Class in March. This is a hands on class where participants will learn the ins and outs of grafting apple trees. Root stock and scions will be provided. The class will be held on four occasions to allow for maximum participation. Classes are currently scheduled for March 4th and 5th at 9AM and 5PM. All classes cover the same material and are limited to 5 participants for each class to allow for individualized instruction. Please call the Extension office at (828) 682-6186 and ask for Pam to register. Cost for the class is $20.00 per participant and may be paid via check or cash. The class times and dates are subject to change so when you register you will be required to provide a contact phone number so that we may contact you in the event of class cancellation or rescheduling. Classes may fill up quickly.
