Anita Tipton, age 70, went Home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 28th, 2026. Anita was a daughter of the late JC and Nell Higgins Edwards.
Anita was very much a people person who loved life. She was a hard worker who was the Deli Manager at Ingles for many years and afterwards she worked at Fred’s in Burnsville until it shut down.
When Anita wasn’t working at her job she could be found quilting and staying up all night using the sewing machine. She also loved to garden and take care of her beautiful flowers.
Left to cherish Anita’s memory is her loving husband, Jack Tipton; her son, Joe Flinch of the home; brother, Ed Edwards (Shannon) of Cleveland, NC; sister, Vicky Tipton (Clifford) of Marion, NC; and special friend Randy Chandler.
A private service for the family will be held at a later date.
