PRESS RELEASE:

Blue Ridge Regional Hospital (BRRH) is pleased to announce a $5,000 donation to the Reconciliation House, a local non-profit dedicated to providing essential crisis assistance to residents of Yancey County. The contribution is part of the hospital’s ongoing commitment to improving community health and stability by supporting local safety-net organizations.

For decades, the Reconciliation House has served as a vital resource for the Burnsville area, offering programs that include food assistance, clothing, and crisis intervention for individuals and families facing economic hardship. This donation will help ensure these services remain available to those in need.

“We are proud to support the Reconciliation House and the incredible work they do to care for our neighbors,” said Dr. Tonia W. Hale, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Nursing Officer of Blue Ridge Regional Hospital. “Health is about more than what happens within the walls of our hospital; it’s about ensuring our community members have access to basic necessities and a reliable support system. Partnering with organizations like the Reconciliation House allows us to extend our mission of care directly into the heart of Yancey County.”

The donation will be used to bolster the Reconciliation House’s current outreach efforts and operational needs as they continue to address food insecurity and emergency regional demands.
