A Marion man is facing a felony charge following a sexual assault investigation in McDowell County.
Detective Billie Brown with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office has charged 53-year-old Maximiliano Queriapa Guardian with second-degree forcible rape. He was initially denied bond.
The investigation began March 18th, when Deputy Angel Hernandez spoke with a Marion woman who reported she had been sexually assaulted by her employer while at work.
The victim was advised to seek a medical evaluation at Mission McDowell.
Authorities say the investigation confirmed the assault, and Guardian was taken into custody and transported to the McDowell County Detention Center.
The case remains under investigation.
